Terms of Service
By using the CAD Similarity Search platform operated by araucon GmbH ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern the use of the CAD Similarity Search web application, including user registration, CAD file uploads, similarity searches, and all related services. This service is intended for business customers (B2B) only. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms in their entirety.
2. Description of Service
The platform allows users to upload CAD files (STEP, STL, and other supported formats) and perform geometry-based similarity searches against uploaded databases. The service processes uploaded files to generate geometric fingerprints used for comparison.
3. User Account & Obligations
Users must provide a valid email address during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to upload any illegal, malicious, or rights-infringing content.
4. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
You retain all intellectual property rights to your uploaded CAD files. We do not claim any ownership or usage rights to your data beyond what is technically necessary to provide the service. Your files are stored in isolated, per-user directories and are not accessible to other users. We treat all uploaded CAD files as confidential business data.
5. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
6. Storage Duration & Deletion
Uploaded files are automatically deleted after 30 days. You may delete your files and account at any time through the account management settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data (files, search history, geometric fingerprints) is permanently and irreversibly removed.
7. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your personal data through the account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, all user data will be deleted in accordance with Section 6.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these terms is Traunstein, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.
